# Profitero (Profitero+) > Profitero+ is an eCommerce data, technology and services platform that helps consumer > brands measure and grow their digital shelf presence across retailers such as Amazon, > Walmart, Tesco and Target. It combines digital shelf analytics, sales & share > measurement, content optimisation, retail media activation (Shelf Intelligent Media) > and managed services. Founded 2010, Dublin/Boston; acquired by Publicis Groupe in > March 2022 and operated within Publicis Commerce. ## API status - **No public API contract.** Profitero publishes no developer portal, no API reference, no OpenAPI / AsyncAPI / GraphQL SDL, no Postman collection, no MCP server and no A2A agent card on any public host. - **An API exists, but it is a partner API and it is not documented publicly.** Profitero's own CEO Bryan Wiener stated it on the company blog (2020-09-09): *"Technology partners, like Kenshoo and Pacvue, will be able to integrate directly with Profitero via API and use the data to power their ad buying algorithms and software"*, and *"We will also consider providing API access to agencies in Q4."* No base URL, authentication model, operation list or specification for that API appears anywhere a member of the public can reach. - **The route to it is a sales conversation.** Access runs through the Open Commerce Ecosystem partner programme (https://www.profitero.com/open-commerce-ecosystem) and the demo request form (https://www.profitero.com/request-a-demo). There is no self-serve sign-up and no published pricing. - **Do not confuse Profitero's API with the APIs it consumes.** Profitero is a heavy CONSUMER of other companies' APIs — the Amazon Selling Partner (SP) API (its "Recovery by Profitero" product asks sellers to authorise SP-API credentials), the Amazon Ads bid modifiers API, and Walmart's partner APIs. Those are Amazon's and Walmart's contracts, not Profitero's. ## Contract discovery performed (2026-08-12) - `api.profitero.com`, `developer.profitero.com`, `developers.profitero.com`, `status.profitero.com`, `trust.profitero.com` — **NXDOMAIN**, do not resolve. - `www.profitero.com` — Webflow marketing site. Hard **404** on `/openapi.json`, `/openapi.yaml`, `/swagger.json`, `/api-docs`, `/graphql`, `/mcp`, `/llms.txt`, and on every `/.well-known/*` path. (The host 404s correctly — `/terms`, `/pricing` and `/security` also 404 — so a 404 here is a real absence.) - `app.profitero.com` — the Profitero+ application. Answers **HTTP 301 → /login.html** for effectively every path, including all `/.well-known/*`. Fully gated. - `sso.profitero.com` — single-sign-on SPA. Answers **HTTP 200 with the same 450-byte HTML shell for every path** (`Authentication`, `
`). These 200s are an SPA catch-all, not documents, and are recorded as misses. - `docs.profitero.com` — resolves (CNAME `ghs.google.com`) but is not a docs host: **HTTP 302 → https://drive.google.com/a/profitero.com**, an internal Google Workspace Drive alias. - `help.profitero.com` — Zendesk (`profiterohelp.zendesk.com`). The Help Center is **private**: `/api/v2/help_center/en-us/articles.json` returns **HTTP 401** `{"error":"Couldn't authenticate you"}` and the web UI returns an HTTP 403 Cloudflare challenge anonymously. - `3precovery.profitero.com` — WordPress microsite for "Recovery by Profitero". `/wp-json/` returns **403**; the FAQ describes consuming the Amazon SP API, not exposing one. - Registries — npm, PyPI, RubyGems, crates.io, Packagist, NuGet, pkg.go.dev, Maven Central: **zero first-party packages**. - `github.com/profitero` — exists (200), **one** public repository, `fastimage`, a fork of the third-party Ruby gem `sdsykes/fastimage`. No first-party code. - Postman public search — no Profitero workspace or collection. ## Products - **Digital Shelf** — daily product and competitor insights across retailer sites. https://www.profitero.com/product/digital-shelf - **Sales & Share** — Amazon sales and market-share measurement. https://www.profitero.com/product/sales-share - **Content Optimizer** — content benchmarking, smart keywords, genAI, SEO/AEO. https://www.profitero.com/product/content-optimizer - **Shelf Intelligent Media (SIM)** — media activation driven by digital shelf triggers, with SIM Programmatic, SIM Search via Skai and SIM Search via Pacvue variants. https://www.profitero.com/product/shelf-intelligent-media - **Autopilot** — automated content correction, operations and revenue recovery on Amazon. https://www.profitero.com/product/autopilot - **AMZ Vendor Health**, **Store-Based Analytics**, **Buy Box Health**. - **Services** — Media, Content, Operations, Strategy & Insights (managed services). ## Partner integrations (data flows out, contract not published) Bid management: Pacvue, Skai.
