# Prosper

> Prosper Marketplace runs a leading US peer-to-peer (marketplace) lending platform matching investors with consumer borrowers. Its RESTful Investor API lets individual, institutional, and third-party investors view accounts, search loan listings, place orders to purchase Notes, and track Notes, loans, and payments over OAuth 2.0.

- [Prosper Investor API](https://developers.prosper.com/docs/investor/): View account balances, search active loan listings, place orders (bids) to buy Notes, and retrieve owned Notes, invested loans, and payments. Base URL https://api.prosper.com/v1 (Listings service at /listingsvc/v2/). Sandbox at https://api.sandbox.prosper.com/v1.

## Authentication

- OAuth 2.0 over SSL. Token endpoint: https://api.prosper.com/v1/security/oauth/token
- Grants: password (client_id + client_secret + username + password), refresh_token, and authorization_code (third-party agents via https://www.prosper.com/oauth).
- Request header: Authorization: bearer <access_token>

- GET /accounts/prosper/ — account cash balance and totals
- GET /listingsvc/v2/listings/ — search active loan listings (offset/limit, sort_by, range/multi-value/boolean filters)
- POST /orders/ — create an order of up to 100 bids (listing_id + bid_amount)
- GET /orders/ , GET /orders/{order_id} — order status and per-bid results
- GET /notes/ , GET /notes/{loan_note_id} — owned Notes
- GET /loans/ , GET /loans/{loan_id} — invested loans
- GET /loans/payments/ — loan payment transactions
