# Provenance Blockchain

> Provenance Blockchain is a public, proof-of-stake blockchain purpose-built for financial services and the tokenization of real-world assets. Built on the Cosmos SDK with CometBFT consensus, it exposes first-party modules for markers (tokens), a metadata asset registry (p8e), an on-chain exchange, ledgers, names, and attributes. Applications integrate over a public Cosmos REST (LCD / gRPC-gateway) API, gRPC, and Tendermint RPC, plus first-party Go, Kotlin, Rust/CosmWasm, and JavaScript SDKs. HASH is the native staking and gas token.
