# Skimlinks (SkimBit Ltd)

> Skimlinks is a content-monetization and affiliate-marketing platform (part of Taboola) that helps publishers earn commerce revenue from the merchants and products they mention in editorial content. It exposes publisher-facing REST APIs for merchants, reporting and products, an on-page JavaScript monetization script, and a batch Data Pipe for event-level data.

Authentication: all APIs use a timestamp-based `access_token` passed as a query parameter, minted by POSTing your `client_id` and `client_secret` (from the Publisher Hub) with `grant_type=client_credentials` to https://authentication.skimapis.com/access_token. Rate limits are per-endpoint and return HTTP 429 when exceeded.

## What Skimlinks does not publish

Recorded so an agent does not go looking. Each was probed on 2026-08-13.

- No first-party SDK in any language, on any registry. The only client library on a registry is a community Ruby gem last released in 2013.
- No hosted or stdio MCP server. `mcp/skimbit-mcp.yml` is a derived candidate tool surface (`deployment.mode: none`), not something you can connect to.
- No A2A agent card. `/.well-known/agent-card.json` and `/.well-known/agent.json` miss on every host.
- No `/.well-known/` documents at all — the API hosts answer 405 for every path, and hub.skimlinks.com answers 200 with an HTML login shell for every path, which is not a document.
- No public pricing page, no status page, no changelog, no roadmap, no CLI, no sandbox or test mode, no public GitHub organization, no bug-bounty or vulnerability-disclosure program, no trust center.
- No webhooks. Event-level data exists only as the batch Data Pipe export, arranged with Skimlinks directly.
