# Slide

> Slide is a modern, security-first Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) platform built exclusively for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Its open REST API (https://api.slide.tech) gives full programmatic control over agents, devices, backups, snapshots, restores, networks, clients, users, alerts, and audit logs. Authentication is a Bearer API token created in the Slide Console; list endpoints use limit/offset pagination.

## Conventions

- Auth: `Authorization: Bearer YOUR_SECRET_TOKEN` (user-scoped API tokens).
- Pagination: `limit` and `offset` query params; follow `pagination.next_offset`.
- Errors: JSON envelope `{ codes: [string], message: string, details: [string] }` (not RFC 9457).
- Identifiers: opaque type-prefixed ids, e.g. `d_` device, `a_` agent, `b_` backup, `s_` snapshot.
- No documented idempotency-key or public rate-limit policy.
- TLS 1.3 required as of 2026-02-02.
