# Spaceship API

> Spaceship is a domain registrar and marketplace. Its public REST API (base https://spaceship.dev/api, v1) lets you check availability, register, renew, restore and transfer domains, manage DNS records and nameservers, maintain WHOIS contacts, and run a domain resale business through SellerHub (listings, SafePay escrow, checkout links). Authentication is a paired API key + secret (X-API-Key / X-API-Secret) with per-key scopes. Long-running actions return 202 with a spaceship-async-operationid header to poll.
