# Sunlight

> Sunlight is an educational-spending platform: organizations fund learning by creating groups, inviting members, allocating a per-user education budget ("sunlight"), and letting members order courses, books and subscriptions (e.g. Amazon, Platzi). Its REST API is built on the JSON:API specification with Bearer-token authentication and exposes groups, memberships/invitations, per-user credit transactions, orders, and an activity feed. Backed by Seedcamp and Speedinvest. Note: as of 2026-07-21 the API backend host appears decommissioned (dangling CNAME); the developer docs and marketing site remain online.
