# Trace

> Trace (tracehq.com) is a workforce planning, headcount management, and procurement platform — "plan and manage your most important investment: your people." Trace was acquired by Paylocity, now operates as "TraceHQ, A Paylocity Company," and the standalone Trace app is being sunset in early 2026 as the product folds into Paylocity for Finance (headcount planning).

Trace publishes no public developer portal, API documentation, OpenAPI specification, SDKs, or well-known discovery surface. The app host (app.tracehq.com) redirects all paths to Paylocity's headcount-planning product page. For the successor product, see Paylocity.
