# Transform

> Transform (Transform Data) was a metrics-store / semantic-layer company backed by Redpoint Ventures. It offered a metrics framework, a metrics catalog, and the MQL (Metrics Query Language) API, and open-sourced the MetricFlow metrics framework. Transform was acquired by dbt Labs, and transform.co now permanently redirects (HTTP 308) to getdbt.com. Its technology lives on as the dbt Semantic Layer / MetricFlow under dbt Labs.

Transform no longer operates an independent developer surface: every path on
transform.co — including /.well-known/* and /llms.txt — returns a 308 redirect
to https://www.getdbt.com/. The artifacts in this profile document the legacy
surface that remains publicly visible.
