Our Mission

To provide guidelines of what it means to consider Assistive Technology and how to put it into practice.  Assistive Technology may impact many areas of an individual's life.  The specific areas considered for any individual will be influenced by their specific needs. This site will strive to provide information on Assistive Technology, examine how it is being considered for students with disabilities, describe challenges and solutions,  and help link users to additional Assistive Technology sites.   

Has Technology Been Considered? A Guide for IEP Teams.  This publication was developed through an extensive literature review and the consultation of  Assistive Technology experts from across the country.  Their responses, based on experience, were compiled and common properties sought.  The results are the basis for the guidelines of what consideration is, and how to put it into practice.  See Products for additional information.
