1. The NDU Library provides PCs for use of computer products owned by the University and by the Library. These PCs are for official and authorized use only, and the installed computers are for authorized users only. Many of these PCs are setup for access to the University network. Others are dedicated to specific standalone electronic titles.

2. Your cooperation and understanding is appreciated in protecting Library equipment.

--The Library will not install any software or electronic product not purchased by and approved for use at the University.
--Please do not install anything downloaded from Internet nor products you own personally.
--Library equipment should not be unplugged, rearranged, setups changed, nor borrowed without approval/assistance of Library systems staff.
--There are no analog phone lines available (for modem usage).

3. The Library has several network jacks you may use to connect laptops to the University network. Power outlets are also available at these sites. Please use the network cable issued with your laptop. You may link to one of two network printers located in the Library; instructions are available at the Information Center.

4. Library staff spend many hours maintaining PC equipment to provide the best possible service to our users. Use of computers beyond the guidelines above increases chances for equipment failures, creates additional workload for staff, and limits access for all users.

5. The Library recognizes student requirements for computer support and, as funding is available, will add services.
