Who We Are
The Office of Community Development (OCD) provides support for the community development programs of the Rural Development mission area within the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
OCD Initiatives
OCD operates special initiatives to demonstrate effective community development techniques and address unique and pressing economic development issues.

OCD Publications
OCD reports and publications are available to the public on request. Many publications are available for downloading in Acrobat format.
- CD Technotes are brief pamphlets about effective community development practices.
- Empowerment Zones/Enterprise Communities (EZ/EC) publications include program descriptions, progress reports, and technical assistance information
- OCD overhead transparencies, developed for use in public presentations, are available to USDA field staff and other interested persons.
