Density (left) and three-dimensional (right) plots of the
conduction-band minimum (CBM) wave functions of a 6000-atom
(110)x(1-10)x(001) GaAs quantum dot, as obtained from a
plane-wave pseudopotential calculation. The wave function
amplitude, averaged along the [001] direction, is plotted
in the (001) plane.
