| Functions of this division include grain inspection, the seed potato program and fruit and vegetable inspection. The grading programs for grain and fruit and vegetable are voluntary, offering impartial weighing, sampling, and inspection services that allow buyers and sellers to arrive at a fair price. Origin, destination and export inspections are performed under the requirements of the U.S. Grain Standards Act and the USDA's produce inspection requirements. The seed potato program certifies that Minnesota seed potato stock is disease free. |
