Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom
A Public/Private Partnership Serving Education for Enhanced Agricultural Literacy

Mission: The Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom program shall provide materials, programs and other opportunities, especially to K-12 youth and educators, in helping to develop an understanding and awareness of agriculture and its importance to Minnesota, the nation and the world.

Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom (M-AITC) is a unique public/private partnership working to provide relevant, real-life experiences about agriculture to many diverse audiences. It is a school-based education program helping students in grade K-12 gain broad-based agricultural knowledge.

M-AITC materials and programs are designed to be integrated into existing subject areas such as social studies, science, environmental education, math and language arts. This interdisciplinary approach provides unlimited opportunities for incorporating agriculture across the K-12 curriculum. A multitude of materials are available to assist educators in teaching about agriculture. M-AITC is outside of the classroom too. Community groups, home schools and the general public all take advantage of programs and resources that are part of M-AITC.
