M.A.P. (Mentors Assisting
Peers) is a student service organization which provides academic
tutors. 25 students are now members and volunteer their time to
tutor nightly in the High School ; Tuesdays and Thursdays at the
middle school; and Tuesday and Wednesday nights at Pine Street.
High school tutoring is provided on a walk in basis between 2:30p
and 3:00p in the high school media center. The junior high and

The mentor group provides
academically gifted students with an opportunity to share their
knowledge with others and to reach out to their peers. This
organization depends totally on the strength of commitment of its
members and meets biweekly to discuss tutoring assignments,
strategies and have an occasional social event. It is another
prime example of the positive activities of W.H.S. students! |
