Plans For A Proposed
Downtown Lake Unveiled

Councilmember Bredefeld
annouces plans for a proposed downtown lake which will include a water
feature for the Fulton Mall. Introduced will be the lake design and
color drawings of its features and vision for Fresno. The 14 acre
lake will include a community walk/park which will perimeter the lake as
well as 30 acres of prime commercial land bordering the lake front property.
The unique lake design will
provide the pivotal piece to tie the |
| downtown area together by
connecting the Fulton Mall, Downtown Stadium, Uptown Cultural Center, Convention
Center and Freeway 41. The creation of this downtown lake would ensure
that this land in the downtown area would again become prime real estate. |
| Joining
Councilmember Bredefeld will be Councilmember Dan Ronquillo and members
of the Downtown Lake Committee. Large color illustrations of the
Downtown Lake and Fulton Mall water feature will be on display. |
