Activities

Group Discussion, Mind-Mapping

Who has ever been in a hospital for treatment? Allow students to share experiences. Direct students to list or describe all people one may encounter in a hospital. This activity may be completed in pairs or small groups.

After completion of activity, list responses on blackboard or chart leaving space for educational requirements. Mind-mapping could also be used by the students and teacher. The teacher should lead the discussion to include all human resources at a hospital that one views and those not viewed by a patient. Discuss educational requirements as: None, High School, Technical /Vocational, or College.This activity may require several classes to complete. (See listing of hospital human resources)
