Objective:
Students will learn to write a business letter, using the proper format and correct grammar.

Activities:

1. Explain and discuss the six parts of a business letter and the information
    found  in each.
2. Show students an example of a business letter so that the students can
    see how each part should look.
3. Have students write a business letter to "Tots R Us" daycare center at
    105 Baby Lane in Newnan, Georgia, stating that they would be interested
    in a summer job.
4. The body of the letter must include the following information.
a. State your name and that you are interested in a summer job.
b. List at least three qualifications that you have for the job.
c. List at least three examples of work you have done with children.
d. Give the name and phone number of a reference. (A reference is a
    person who can tell something about you, but (s)he is not a relative.)

5. Each part of your letter must be aligned correctly and contain the correct
    information.  Use your school address in the heading.  Use your own name
    in the signature.
Evaluation:
Students will turn in a final copy of the business letter.
