DATE: November 17, 1999 CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATION: December 1, 1999 POSITION TITLE: Resource Coordinator - 190 Day Contract JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist in identifying needs and refers children and families to services. Provide a variety of informational seminars, to enhance parents' involvement with the educational experience. Help in obtaining all necessary documentation and health related requirements for kindergarten registration. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Coordinate plans with Pre-K teacher, school staff, community and parents. Assist families in identification of financial resources needed to obtain services and goods using a thorough knowledge of both traditional sources and the family's own support systems. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the teacher and/or school principal. REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING: BS/BA degree- state certification in Social Work, Early Childhood, or Elementary Education preferred REQUIRED SKILLS: Educational preparation and practical knowledge of the most effective practices in the implementation of a comprehensive support program. Proficiency required in oral and written communication. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) to five (5) years experience preferred
