With more than 15,000 students in 24 schools, the Coweta County School system is located in one of the fastest growing counties in the country. The system is experiencing a growth rate of 6-8% each year. Seven new schools have opened since 1994, making a total of 15 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 3 high schools, and an alternative opportunity school.

HOW WE MEASURE UP
- Coweta’s scores for the ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) given in third, fifth, and eighth grades are HIGHER than the state average in both reading and math.
- Coweta’s high school students have a HIGHER first time pass rate in all four areas (English, Math, Social Studies, and Science) of the Georgia High School Graduation Test than the state average.
- Coweta’s high school students also scored HIGHER than the state average in all four areas of the Georgia High School Graduation Test.
