Configuring POP Email With Outlook Express 5.0
Microsoft Outlook Express is one of most popular email client. Many of our
customers use it. Here we introduce the configuration of Outlook Express 5.0
1. Open Outlook Express.
2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.

3. Click the Add button, and choose Mail.

4. In the Display name box, type your name.

5. Click the Next button.
6. In the E-mail address box, type your e-mail address (e.g.
<username>@mail.bsu.net or <username>@bsu.net). ( Note: here <username> means use your user name (ex.
xyang) replace <username>.)

Click the Next button.
From the drop-down list, choose POP3.
In the Incoming mail (POP or IMAP) server box, type mail.bsu.net
In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type mail.bsu.net
Click the Next button.
Select Log on using: POP account name, Password.
In the POP account name box, type your username.
In the Password box, type your password.
Click the Next button.
In the Internet mail account name box, type BSU.NET Mail (Note: this can be anything you want.)
Click the Next button.
Select Connect using my local area network (LAN) if your computer is connected to
local area network. Otherwise select Connect using my phone line.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button to save settings.
