In China, according to a recent UN Report, the extremely heavy and continuous rains have resulted in flooding that has affected at least 240 million people! That is one fifth of the population of China. 13.8 million are homeless. MAP has recently partnered with World Vision Canada to provide 800,000 tablets of the WHO essential medicine Praziquantel for treating the many people ill from schistosomiasis, a water borne parasite which is causing tremendous problems. The air shipment of this valuable medicine should be happening within the next few days. In addition to this delivery MAP has partnered with Operation Blessing to provide nearly $725,000.00 WSV of medicines for China relief. The 19 pallet shipment which weighed nearly four tons, was picked up from MAP last Friday 18 September.
