Promotion of Comprehensive Community Health
Promoting the Total Health needs of individuals, families and communities.

The conditions that impact the health of people living in the world's poorest communities are complex. As a result, interventions to address these conditions must be comprehensive. Cultural, economical, familial and spiritual factors, along with nutrition, sanitation and access to health resources, impact health. MAP's comprehensive health training programs recognize the need to address all of the conditions that impact health .

  • Identifying, training, equipping and supporting community health promoters as a primary tool for improving the health of individuals, families and communities.

  • Promoting Total Health concepts through workshops and communication tools.

  • Offering life-changing fellowships to allow U.S. medical students a chance to witness, firsthand, comprehensive health services in developing world communities.

MAP recognizes the church as a key grass roots organization that can effectively deal with community health problems such as HIV/AIDS.

  • Internationally-recognized HIV/AIDS program to encourage African churches to fight the epidemic.

  • Network of Latin American churches and leaders involved in HIV/AIDS programs targeting women and youth.
