50 Providers on Internet to offer eShare Software More than 50 Internet service providers have signed partnerships with eShare Technologies to offer eShare's Web chat software to their customers, the Commack company has announced. In the last three months, new customers have included Icanect in Miami; Intel Inex in Madison, Wisconsin; @wizard Inc. in Las Vegas, and Club Planet Enterprises in Manhattan. Several weeks ago, eShare announced that Uunet Inc., one of the world's largest Internet service providers, had signed on to use eShare's Expressions Communications Suite, which offers text-based conferencing and discussion groups. eShare targeted companies that offer Internet services to businesses. By going directly to the Internet service providers, eShare is using the same marketing method that Netscape Communications Corp. and Microsoft Corp. used to push their Internet browsers, said Michael Sullivan-Trainor, director of the Internet program at International Data Corp., a technology research and consulting service in Framingham, Mass. "It actually works pretty well provided you can get...some sort of exclusivity with the providers," he said. |
