The addition of the eShare Expressions' chat server and threaded bulletin board system continues to expand UUNET's comprehensive set of web hosting solutions.

eShare's Expressions software allows UUNET's web hosting customers to add real-time communications capabilities to their web site, providing access to live conversations in "chat rooms" set up by the hosting site. eShare Expressions can be installed in minutes and users require no installs or plug-ins.

The eShare Expressions chat client operates behind most firewalls--a critical feature for corporate acceptance. Additionally, the chat component of the software supports in-line banner advertising so users can run ads in their chat rooms or put up corporate information schedules or other messages.

The software's bulletin board service gives UUNET's hosting customers threaded discussion group capabilities, allowing users to participate in discussions on topics in a format where messages can be exchanged without the need to have participants on-line at the same time. UUNET's hosting customers can remotely administer all functions of their eShare Expressions service, allowing them to moderate and customize their chat and discussion group forums.
