Commack, NY (August 12) — eShare Technologies has signed partnership agreements with 50 Internet Service Providers who will offer enhanced chat services to their customers.

The agreements come several weeks after eShare Technologies signed a strategic agreement with UUNET, the world's largest ISP.

UUNET and the other ISPs are using the eShare Expressions Communications Suite to provide "live text" and "threaded discussion group" communications.

Among the ISPs partnering with eShare Technologies: Icanect, Miami, Florida; Intel Inex, Madison, Wisconsin wizard Inc., Las Vegas, Nevada; Club Planet Enterprises, New York, New York; and Catholic.net, Hillsdale, New Jersey.

Web-based live text and threaded BBS communications services are in high demand. "Chat is a very popular service among users," said Bob Hurwitz, president of Icanect, a leading ISP in South Florida. "eShare Expressions will enable us to offer far more sophisticated chat services than we could provide previously. We plan to offer live chat to our Web customers so that they can in turn communicate more effectively with their customers."

The eShare Expressions software allows companies to improve communication, service and support among suppliers, customers and employees. Web communications improves the customer service/call center inquiry process; integrates geographically disparate groups of people into working teams; and facilitates the exchange of information among customers and/or employees.

eShare Expressions can be installed in minutes and users require no plug-ins. The eShare Expressions client interface operates behind most firewalls--a critical feature for corporate requirements. In addition, the chat component of the software supports in-line banner advertising so users can run ads in their chat rooms or put up corporate information schedules or other messages.

"We particularly like the flexibility of eShare Expressions," said Hurwitz. "It can be used with JAVA, with semi-JAVA and without JAVA. You can easily establish multiple chat rooms. People can follow their friends from one room to another."

The software's bulletin board system provides threaded discussion group capabilities. Users can participate in discussions by exchanging messages at their convenience; they don't have to be on-line at the same time.

Hosting customers can remotely administer all functions of their eShare Expressions service, allowing them to moderate and customize their chat and discussion group forums.
