The Digital Club Festival, which takes place July 20-23 and features 300 bands performing in 20 Manhattan venues, has chosen eShare's Expressions® 4.0 software to add chat capabilities to its highly trafficked site. Using Expressions, the Digital Club Festival will connect music fans from around the world so that they can simultaneously participate in Internet dialogs with fellow enthusiasts. The Festival will use Expressions to deliver the critical component of human interaction to its unique online music community, enabling the fans to log in and discuss their favorite bands with other fans in real-time, without the delays caused by plug-ins or downloads.

While the 1994 Festival was only able to make digital photos and text available to a worldwide audience, in 1998 more than 400 continuous hours of live and archived performances were available on multiple "24 hour channels" along with interviews and online shopping links. Many of the performances will be archived for later viewing on the forthcoming Digital Club Network
