The mission of the Lumberton School District is to produce well-rounded students who are adaptable to change and who possess the self-esteem, motivation and skills to continue individual growth and respect cultural differences. The commitment of the Board of Education to quality programs will clearly focus on educational experiences, beginning at kindergarten through eighth grade, that promote excellence through an active and responsible partnership with the community, a visionary and innovative curriculum and a dedicated and knowledgeable staff.
Frank Logandro has served as superintendent of the Lumberton Schools since October 1, 1993. He has a B.S. in Elementary Education from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, Pa., a Masters from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Ruthford, NJ and additional graduate studies from Rowan State College. Prior to coming to the Lumberton School District, he worked for the Cinnaminson Board of Education for twenty-five years. Frank served the Cinnaminson District in many different capacities. He was a fourth grade classroom teacher, an elementary and secondary art teacher, Art/Music Supervisor, Basic Skills Improvement Coordinator, District Test Coordinator, vice principal of the middle school and principal of the Rush Elementary School. He has been awarded several state and federal grants and served as project director under Title IVC, Title III and NJ State Mini grants. Mr. Logandro coordinated two long term Arts residencies funded by the NJ State Council for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. Frank has served as the director for the Cinnaminson Saturday Enrichment Program for a four year period. His professional involvement goes beyond his district. Frank was regional representative for a state task force on Arts Education and has served as an evaluator with the Middle States Association of College and Schools. Frank is also involved in civic and community affairs. He served on the Mt. Laurel Board of Education for six years. He participated on every major board committee in addition to chairing the Long Range Planning Committee, being vice president and president of the board. He served one term on the Mt. Laurel Township Emergency Management/Hazardous Material Advisory Council and is currently in his second term as an elected member of the Mt. Laurel Republican County Committee. Frank was a member of the New Jersey Army National Guard and retired from that organization with twenty years of service. For the past fifteen years, Frank has been actively involved with the New Jersey Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. At the regional level, he served as treasurer, co-director and director. On the state executive board, he was membership chairperson and treasurer.
