Assistant Superintendent of Instruction

Lorraine Marinelli, Ed.D., is Assistant Superintendent of Instruction for the Lumberton Township School District.
Dr. Marinelli is responsible for providing leadership in developing, implementing and coordinating the districts K-8 curriculum including evaluating and revising existing curriculum and developing new curriculum. She will also coordinate staff development and professional growth.
In joining Lumbertons district of 1,326 children and 160 teachers and staff members, Dr. Marinelli brings a wealth of experience and knowledge. She left the Peter Muschal School in Bordentown, NJ, after serving as Principal for the past four years. She served as Assistant Principal in Bordentown for three years prior and was Principal in Haddon Heights for two years beginning in 1988. She also served a total of 17 years in districts in Burlington, Edgewater Park and Woodbury.
A resident of Columbus, NJ, Dr. Marinelli earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Rider University, a Master of Arts in Education from The College of New Jersey and a Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She completed additional post-graduate studies at Rider University, Temple University and Rutgers University.
