Where We Are
We have just begun an exciting unit on the rainforest. The children have turned a corner of our room into a rainforest and will continue to add animals and plants to make it complete. We have also been collecting money to adopt a portion of the real rainforest. This is located in the Maya Mountain Marine Corridor in Belize. Click on the link below to learn more about this program.
Reading News
We are beginning the final book in our reading series! The children have become terrific readers and writers. They are ready for easy chapter books such as Frog and Toad, Henry and Mudge, or Little Bear. The Burlington County Library has a whole section labeled Easy Readers. If you haven't gotten a library card yet, now is a great time. Summer is right around the corner-lots of free time for reading!
Math News
We have just finished our money unit and will continue to review counting coins. We are currently working on calendars and time. We will continue to work on addition and subtraction facts for speed and accuracy.
