Environmental Career Programs

Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin is offering summer environmental programs focusing on "wild careers" for high school students. Find out what a career in the environment is all about. Programs include "Wild Land Research", "Aquatic Research", "Storms and Stars", and "Writing to be in the World of Nature". Scholarships opportunities are available to applicants who qualify.

Looking for a summer job? Employment opportunities are available for Juniors and Seniors who are interested in working in the paving industry. Bauerly Brothers Company of St.Cloud is now hiring for the summer. Help is wanted in various divisions of the company, such as trucking, equipment operators, general laborer, flaggers, traffic control, sample runner, quality control technicians, parts delivery, mechanics, welders, shop/yard help and many other positions. Job applications are available in the Career Resouce Center.

Minnesota Business Venture/High School Students

Hot opportunity for any high school student interested in Business. The Minnesota Business Venture is offering $500 scholarships to MN students to spend a week on a college campus learning about the world of business, developing leadership skills, exploring career paths, and helping prepare for their futures. Participants learn how to succeed in business through interactive activities and direct exposure to business people and business situations. Accepted students only pay a nominal fee of $100 to attend the week-long seminar.
When: June 25 -30, 2000 at Mankato State University, Mankato
July 9 -14, 2000 at St. John's University
July 30th - Aug 4th, 2000 at The College of St Scholastica
