A new web site has been created for the Little Falls Community High School Art Department!! Stephen Browning, a senior spent twelve weeks working on a web site. I am excited to have this new site set up. You can visit it at http://mailpilot.hs.lfall.k12.mn.us/student/artdept/
Art Scholastic Results!!

This year for the Scholastic Art Awards ten works of art were sent to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Out of those ten works of art two were selected for awards. Laura Sperl won two silver key awards for her entries. 1265 works of art were submitted to the show with only 212 works selected for the show. The show is on display for the month of Febuary at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

The Little Falls Art Department has submitted ten works of art to the Scholastic Art Awards held at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. This is the first year we have entered this competition and are very excited for the results to come back. We should know how we did at the beginning of Feb. The work that was submitted was various two-dimensional drawings and paintings.

Last spring an Art Web Site was set up at the high school by Nicole Matros. This site offers a look into the art world at Little Falls Community High School. The site has pictures and information about classes offered in the Art Department at Little Falls Community High School. Please check it out!

Welcome to the Art Department! It is very exciting as a teacher to be able to offer online updates of what is happening in the Art Department at Little Falls Community High School. So many times people have no idea of what is happening in individual departments. I believe this is a wonderful opportunity to show who we are and what were about.
