New and Notable:

3rd Grade News

Parents: This week in 3rd grade, we took a
cumulative test in Math. I’ll send them home next week
so you can see what your child has retained from the
beginning of the year until now. We attended the
book fair and the Talent Show on Monday was a success!Thanks for sending the fruit on Tuesday. We all enjoyed our class fruit salad and learning about the market and how to barter.
Notes:
April 21st- April 24th >No School
April 27th & 28th >Substitute
Iowa Basics- Our superintendent has decided that all grades 2-5 will be taking the tests this year. This has been changed from what we have discussed earlier. We will be testing the 1st week in May. Please mark those dates down on your calendars so you children get plenty of rest and breakfast.

Parents: Since the next few weeks are busy and short, I will be sending home small notes like this to let you know what is going on in 3rd grade. If there are any concerns that I feel you need to know about, I will write a brief note at the bottom of the note or phone you. I hope this will not be a problem as our time is ticking away and we have so much to accomplish in the next several weeks.

April 18th Fruit Salad-We are reading a story in Social about getting foods from a Market and what you could make with them. If you could send ONE piece of fruit on Tuesday to make a class fruit salad-I thought it would make learning a little more fun. Thanks!

If you have not sent the slip letting us know how many people will be attending the 3rd grade concert, please do so. We will be ordering juice and cookies.
