About the Grants Resource Center

The Grants Resource Center helps people in the community increase their capacity to generate new revenues for their endeavors. The Center provides resource materials, grantwriting workshops, and technical assistance to educators, parents, nonprofit and government administrators, community members, and businesses especially Alameda County, but also throughout the Bay Area.

The Center has an extensive collection of information on funding opportunities from:

  • local, state and national governments
  • private, corporate and community foundations
  • local and national corporations

    We maintain the following information about funding sources

  • Annual reports and funding guidelines
  • Resource books, CD-ROMS and Internet access
  • Weekly and monthly newsletters on current grant opportunities
  • Reference books on grant preparation and fundraising strategies

    Training sessions on all aspects of the grantwriting and fundraising process are held throughout the year.

    Staff members are always available to assist clients who visit or telephone the Grants Resource Center.
