DECEMBER 13, 1999 Contact: Jan Passama, Communications/Media and Legal Liaison, (510) 670-4225 MERVYN’S CALIFORNIA PROVIDES HOLIDAY SHOPPING SPREE FOR TEEN MOMS (HAYWARD,CA) Mervyn’s California has generously donated $2000 to sponsor a shopping spree for students enrolled in the School Age Mothers and Pregnant Minors programs offered through the Alameda County Office of Education. The spree will take place on Wednesday, December 15, 1999 at 8:00 A.M. when Mervyn’s California, located at the Southland Mall in Hayward, will open its doors for a private shopping experience for the mothers and mothers-to-be to purchase much needed clothing for their infants. Freddie Molina, Manager of the Mervyn’s California Southland Mall store was instrumental in organizing this event and will be joined by Alameda County Superintendent of Schools, Sheila Jordan and Rafael Ramirez, Principal/Administrator of the School Age Mothers program.
