Need information? Give us a call! Information may be available, but finding it can be a real problem. That's where AEL's Resource Center can help. Through computerized databases and the resources on hand in our facility, AEL can help locate the information you need. The Center searches the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) database, specialized subject files, the Internet, latest products from the Regional Educational Laboratories and R&D Centers, and other education-specific resources to pull together materials related to your request. And these resources can be in your hands within a week to 10 days. Who is eligible to request an information search? Any educator involved in school improvement efforts across AEL's service Region (Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia). What will you receive? The package may include research reports, articles from journals and periodicals, position statements, digests, bibliographies, product announcements, abstracts, Internet documents and/or a printout of an ERIC or Internet search. What else is free for the asking? Lots. Watch AEL's newsletter, The Link, for free resources such as R&D synthesis documents, ERIC Digests, AEL occasional papers, and other selected publications produced by the U. S. Department of Education and others. Or take a look at AEL's Products & Publications Catalog. How do you request information? Call the Resource Center at 304/347-0400 or 800/624-9120, or e-mail your request to aelinfo@ael.org. | ||||||||||||||||||||
