Just a year or so ago, World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc. decided to rent a piece of property on Time Square in New York City. Original plans had the WWFE purchase become an "entertainment complex" with a bar, restaurant, merchandise center, and an area where WWFE could schedule press conferences.
Now, months later, WWFE has purchased the property in full and has changed its plans for its complex. Instead of it being an "entertainment complex," WWF New York will become a night club with a regular DJ, and will still hold its press conference room. In order to celebrate the reopening, WWFE has decided to do something special.
Instead of a reopening, WWFE will celebrate the return of WWF New York with another "grand opening." Included with the grand opening, scheduled for Friday, June 23, 2000, some superstars of the World Wrestling Federation will be headlining its special guest appearances.
Most importantly, The Rock has decided to start off the opening by becoming a DJ! Twenty-two other superstars will also be appearing at the occasion, along with WWFE officials and corporate members, the press, and fans waiting outside to get in.
