Update on Jeff Hardy being compared to Shawn Michaels

Once a jobber tag team, the Hardy Boyz have struck it big with World Wrestling Federation fans and officials. The high flying, suicidal duo has impressed everyone with their dedication and sheer ability. Now, one half of that tag team may be told to take it a little easy.

Probably one of the biggest aerial risk-takers in the WWF, Jeff Hardy has been told to "calm down" and try to take some of his matches with a grain of salt. Instead of throwing his body around like a rag doll, Hardy has been told to be more cautious of his maneuvers and take better care of himself.

This all after officials came to the conclusion that if Hardy continues on the path he is on, he could wind up in a similar condition to that of Shawn Michaels -- done in the ring at a very early age. Hardy has been compared to Michaels on many other occasions and has been rumored to break away from the Hardy Boyz, like Michaels did from the Rockers, to start a better singles career.

Hardy has developed a horrible and seemingly permanent limp, one noticed backstage by his peers. He has also been complaining of a bad hip and a constantly sore back.

Although nothing more can be told this time, something may pop up in the future about Hardy's condition. Top Rope Newsletter will update you when anything arises.
