  • WCW Hotline News: Update on Ric Flair, More
By Anthony Schilero on June 14, 19100 at 08:19:50

The following is courtesy of the WCW Hotline:

  • It was reported that Vampiro suffered a minor leg injury at Nitro this past Monday after jumping from the NitroVision big screen. Vampiro told Bob Ryder that he was OK after the leap.

  • It is not known for sure if Ric Flair will ever return to wrestling again. If he does return, he is expected to do so around September, but that is not a certainty. Flair will have surgery in ten days.

  • Mark Madden will host WCW Thunder tonight in place of Bobby Heenan. This is expected to be a one-time deal, as Heenan has a family crisis that he must attend to this week. We wish he and his family the best.

  • Atlanta Braves’ pitcher Jon Rocker was backstage at Nitro this week.

  • Christopher Daniels was the man in the hood talking to Vampiro on Nitro. If you are not familiar with Daniels, he is regarded by many as the number one independent worker out there. He was known as the “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels in the independent scene.

  • Vince and Linda McMahon have to yet to be called on as witnesses in the WWF/USA Network trial. The two sides are expected to reach a settlement by the end of the week.
