Steve Gerweck had a chance to speak with former WWF and WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart.
Bret Hart speaks out about his current health status/situation:
"As of right now, I’m not allowed to physically wrestle at all. I cannot wrestle for at least another six months."
He talks about his possible WCW return in July:
"That was to be a time when I would re-evaluate my situation. My concussion is much more severe than anyone thought"
Talks about his position with Bill Goldberg:
"I like Billy. It was a pay-per-view, and I know there was no intention. I just hope it gets better."
Talks about his WCW contract:
"I have three years left."
"...I renewed my contract right before Owen died."
Talks about Sting's drop from the rafters:
"Yeah, Sting asked me. The reason I didn't have a problem with it because Sting was actually taught; he took three weeks of specific training for that, but if (I had a problem with him doing it, he wouldn’t do it), and I appreciated that. I said, "No, as long as you feel safe and sure of it, I don’t have a problem with it." I did have a problem with the idea of them doing it in Kansas City. I did pull Sting aside; it was my brother's birthday (Slamboree was May7, which would have been Owen’s 35th birthday) on that day and would have been in really bad taste."
Speaks out about WCW PPV in Kansas City:
"...WCW did call me Sunday morning demanding that I be there, asking where I was. I was not planning on going there."
