Jung Dragons replaced, "Ethnic Cleansing" in
By Alexi Franklin on June 15, 2000
The following piece is a rumor, it has not been substantiated or confirmed
I love WCW and once again my negative reporting against WCW is under criticism. Let me stress this again, I only watch and follow WCW. I run WCWUniverse.com. As far as changing my reporting, A.) For the truth's sake, I will not stop reporting things that people tell me and B.) People do not contact me to talk about when they are happy with the company. Naturally, people talk more when they have something to complain about or a little gossip to tell...so I can't wait for more morons to email me today -- *sigh* -- anyway, onto the news...
>> This is from a reliable anonymous source in WCW management:
The Jung Dragons were told that they were going to be on the Thunder Taping this week last thursday. They called the talent hotline on Friday, and they weren't listed on it. The WCW talent management department and travel department didn't know anything about the Dragons being on this week's taping.
Tuesday, WCW wrestlers and management were frantically calling the Dragons, asking where they were. Finally, what ended up was that Air Paris, Cassidy O'Reilly, and another person (a frequent member of R&B Security) replaced the Dragons, but not in the usual way, they REPLACED The Dragons in a curious twist.
The Dragons were STILL not on the list when they called WCW back that night, and they were still not booker and they are yet to get any tickets. Someone in WCW really dropped the ball, but it's still a little weird that they would bill the other guys as the Jung Dragons.
>> The main thought is that these incidents are unrelated (the Luchadores being released & the Jung Dragons missing the ) and that the Dragons thing was just a screw up, but some of the more conspiritorially minded members of the WCW backstage say that Russo is implementing an "ethnic cleansing." This is not typical, however, as many members of the WCW backstage are happy and contented.
