Just one of many World Wrestling Federation superstars to be making an appearance on television, Bradshaw has taken a lead role. In a television movie for the USA Network titled "The Huntress," Bradshaw will be making his first ever appearance as a character on another television show or in a movie.
Playing the character of John Lee, a murdering hostage taker, Bradshaw is hunted by the law and must rely on his cunningness to outsmart them. To be shown on July 22, 2000, "The Huntress" will begin as a two-hour movie and will eventually become a full-fledged USA television series. The television show will begin sometime in August, having Bradshaw's episode air late that month or early in September.
On the official WWF website, Bradshaw commented on the differences between Hollywood acting and the WWF. "For Federation programming, it's one take and we're done. We have a lot of preparation that goes into it, but we are done and move on rather quickly." He did say, however, that "I would love to do something like this again...First and foremost, I am here to be an Acolyte. But if the opportunity to act presents itself again, I'd do it."
The producer, Scott White, also felt Bradshaw was great at acting. "John (Leyfield, aka Bradshaw) was really great to work with. He was a perfect gentleman and was unbelievable. His southern upbringing was very evident. You can tell that he was raised there - his manners were outstanding."
It is unknown if Bradshaw will make any other appearances on this program, but for now, it appears that acting is just another hobby the multi-talented (real name John Lee) has.
