Vince McMahon countered WCW's offer to ECW
By BJ Bethel on June 16, 2000
"The following is a news item" Apparently WCW wasn't the only one offering money to ECW. As most of you know, ECW was offered some cash by WCW to make an appearance at the Great American Bash last weekend. The money amount was around 50,000 dollars. Heyman wanted something in the seven figure range. Vince McMahon, who isn't thrilled about a working relationship between ECW and WCW, told Heyman he could loan him money if he wanted. As of now, Heyman hasn't answered back, but most think Heyman will refuse the offer, citing his reputation of being as independent as possible.
