In the latest issue of WCW Magazine, WCW Magazine Editor, Kevin Eck, interviewed Bret “The Hitman” Hart in an uncensored shoot interview that had some very shocking statements about Vince McMahon, his family, and many other wrestlers in the business. Here are some of the things Bret had to say:
When asked how he was coping with the tragedy this being the one-year anniversary of his brothers death, Bret said, “I don’t think a day goes by that I don’t think about my brother a hundred times. I still don’t know that I’ve actually dealt with it.”
Bret was then asked to put a word association with eight wrestling personalities and talent; here is the result of that. Vince McMahon: Liar, Eric Bischoff: Good guy, Hulk Hogan: Elvis Presley, Shawn Michaels: Maybe one of the best athletes the wrestling business ever had, Davey Boy Smith: Brainless, Roddy Piper: A real man’s man in a profession where there’s not very many, and finally, Ric Flair: Hardest-working wrestler to ever put on a pair of boots.
After questions about Owen, his career, and his ambitions, he was asked what he would like to be remembered as after his career is over, Bret in response said, “I’d be happy just to be remembered. I’d like to be remembered as a guy who stood up for himself and always worked harder whether if was a small crowd or a big crowd, and that I always exemplified the best aspects of this business. I was never a troublemaker. I was always reliable and dependable and I was always safe. I suppose if I was really going to try to define myself, I’d like to be remembered as being the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.”
The issue of WCW Magazine hit’s Newsstands across the United States and Canada starting Tuesday of next week.
