  • News on Steve Austin's Injury and Return.
By Thomas Leydier on June 17, 2000

The following is a news item

    - Steve Austin has been going through vast training exercises to get his damaged disk and body back into shape. Austin is set for an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show in July so he may indicate then when he's going to return. There are talks of him being in some way at the main event at SummerSlam. With Austin's presence this would significantly bring up the ratings. Austin's disk is still healing but is getting better every day. He is working hard on improving his form and wrestling appearance. As we all saw at Backlash, Austin was a bit wirey and out of shape, he was having a hard time getting up after hitting Vince down. That is the reason why Austin is training hard and long to get ready for an upcoming appearance, possibly SummerSlam.
