GREEK FERRY DISASTER

At least 40 people have died after a Greek passenger ferry sank after hitting rocks late last night. Four British naval ships played a crucial role in the rescue operation alongside dozens of fishing boats more than three miles off the port of Paros. The 34-year-old ferry boat Express Samina sank while carrying 511 passengers, including at least two Britons who were found clinging to rocks in the swelling seas before being picked off by a helicopter to safety. 5 News brings you the latest on the disaster and looks at the safety record of the Greek passenger lines plus what measures holidaymakers can take before heading off to the islands.
