AUBURN- Freshman wide receiver Deandre Green has been reinstated to the Auburn football
team announced head coach Tommy Tuberville Friday. Green was suspended following his arrest in May
for reckless endangerment, a Class A misdemeanor.
Green, from Prichard, Ala., will be suspended for Auburn's opening game against Wyoming on
August 31. He will report for practice with the rest of the returning players on August 8.
"Deandre and I sat down and had a productive meeting," Tuberville said. "We don't condone
this type of behavior and Deandre understands that. I think he is aware of the consequences of his
actions. It is time for him to move forward and concentrate on school and football."
Green was granted youthful offender status after he was arrested for allegedly firing a
handgun into the air on campus.
After enrolling in spring quarter, Green was the offensive most valuable player in the
A-Day game after catching nine passes for 96 yards and three touchdowns.
