Auburn Football Practice Report

August 14, 2000

AUBURN- After spending two hours on the practice field Monday afternoon, Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville stressed the need for improved consistency and better preparation from the Tigers.

"We started to do a little more team work today, and some of the younger guys' heads were spinning a little bit," Tuberville said. "We need to do a little more in the film room. But that's what practice is for. Overall, it was a good practice."

After working out in full gear during the morning session, the Tigers spent the afternoon session in shorts. The Tigers spent the last half hour of the afternoon practice working on short to long range field goals.

"We didn't look very good today. The kickers looked liked everybody else, inconsistent. But, we'll find somebody who can put the ball across the goalpost," Tuberville said.

The Tigers will continue with practice on the intramural field this week, with all practices open to the public.

Fan Day will be held Saturday, Aug. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. in Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.

PRACTICE NOTES:
