Auburn Football Practice Report

August 17, 1999

AUBURN- The Tigers wrapped up Thursday's practice with and hour and a half workout in shells, working primarily with the second string offensive and defensive units. The Tigers went through a light two-hour workout during the morning session before finishing the day with the abbreviated workout.

"We cut practice short this afternoon. Wee held most of the first team players out to give them a break from the heat," Auburn head football coach Tommy Tuberville said. "We'll have two-a-dys Friday and Saturday, but we'll go short in one of them each day."

The Tigers will take part in Saturday's Fan Day festivities before beginning one-a-days on Monday.

"I think all the players are looking forward to meeting the fans and getting a pat on the back for their hard work," Tuberville said. "It'll be a good break before we start one-a-days on Monday and begin getting ready for Wyoming."

Fan Dayu will be held from 1-3 pm Saturday at Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.
